Default hooking a hammock up inside the jk

i would really like to be able to sleep in my jeep (2dr). i figure the only good way to do so would be to hook a hammock to the drivers side roll bar over the door and to the back part of the roll bar - sleeping elevated over the drivers seat and center console. i want to try this but just want to check whether you think i would do any damage putting that kind of weight on those bars (im 175lb's)

if not, anyone else work a way to sleep in a 2dr?..... or is this just wishful thinking

Im a little confused, so you are imagining you would lay diagonally? Wouldnt the seat get in the way? Why dont you just take the back seat out of your truck, put a blanket down and sleep there?

have you tried taking the back seat out, moving the front seats forward as far as possible, stuffing the little gap will pillows or something and then throwing blankets or an air mattress in there? That might work. I haven't had to sleep in my Jeep yet

i have thought about putting pillows and and blankets were the back seat normally sits but im 6 1 and dont think that would work so well from a comfort perspective. now that i know the weight is not over bearing on the roll bars i will give it a shot and report back.

Wouldn't seem like there would be enough vertical clearance. In the Unlimited, I fit perfectly without an inch to spare in the back with the seats down.

Here is a 200lbs friend chillin using both our rollbars.

I just can't imagine you could do this inside the jeep for 2 reasons.

1. you'll look like a banana curled up too much
2. I think the soft top or hardtop would be in your face

I have a childs air mattress that fits perfect in the back with the rear seats folded and the front seats all the way forward. Its a little short, but it was suprisingly comfortable still, I just had to sleep with my legs bent a bit.

Here is what I do:

Slide front seat all the way up. Then fold the seats all the way up. After that, I sit in the bak of the Jeep (with seats removed) and lay back on against the back side of folded front seat. It is similar to sleeping in a recliner.
