hooking a hammock up inside the jk
hammock not going to happen in a 2dr.
take the back seat out. (not folded up, taken out) and put some blankets and stuff in there.
I've slept in the back of a YJ before which is a lot smaller than the JK inside. Wasn't comfy (I'm 6'1) but curled up a bit it worked ok.

i'd say make something that comes out the hitch receiver and up so you can tie off to that and maybe the front tab for the top??? not sure how strong that tab is.. or fab something between the roll bars so it hangs perfectly front to back.
I'd sleep on top of the jeep with one of these:

price is a little steep though.

hammock idea sounds great if it works. i want one of those Overland tent house things. theyre expensive and probably a pain to set up, kinda like the one you posted, but fold up smaller. id be more worried anout being top heavy. im gonna see if i can shove a small air mattress in my 2dr. my old pathfinder i could lay the seats down, throw a yoga mat out and pass out. it was my party mobile. water, powerbars, crackers, etc. no drunk driving for me.
i would really like to be able to sleep in my jeep (2dr). i figure the only good way to do so would be to hook a hammock to the drivers side roll bar over the door and to the back part of the roll bar - sleeping elevated over the drivers seat and center console. i want to try this but just want to check whether you think i would do any damage putting that kind of weight on those bars (im 175lb's)
if not, anyone else work a way to sleep in a 2dr?..... or is this just wishful thinking
