I ran 35s on 4.10s with an auto for 6 months. There was a moderate power loss. especially on the hwy or up hills. OD proved worthless. After 5.13s the JK is better than new and my mpgs are 16-17, up from 12.

I would stay with 33s for a DD or get new gears if she likes to drive "spirited" like my wife does

I have a 4 door 6 spd with 37" KM2s and no re-gear (running stock 4.10). 6th is pretty useless, but otherwise you get used to the performance - no big deal. If you want to re-gear it helps acceleration and MPG, but I didn't want the expense or hassle. Not to mention it voids the warranty on yet another part of my JK...

If it's a Rubi with a tow package, I think you'll be fine. If not, you can always regear later...

2 door x with manual trans and 4.10 gears. Pushes 37's just fine.
I actully like the the taller tires better, I can stay in 1st gear longer and don't have to shift as often in the city.
Speedo is way off but I have GPS that tells me the speed limit and my current speed.

i have 2007 man. 3.5 lift with 35" tires, its fine around town, ur mpg are gona drop n 6th is useless on the hwy, but it isnt bad. if you do alot of wheelin there is no power in 4high and could possibly burn up your clutch.

It sounds as if 37's are completely out of the picture...

Just want to throw this out..

What if someone was planning to permanently run 5.13's w/ an Auto on 29" tires?

...because you'd still be running LESS RPM's at 70 than 5.13's w/ a 6 speed on 35's.

Personally, I'd rather downshift to 5th on those random(for me) occasions if I need to, rather than have to start out in 2nd all the time and not be able to upshift any higher when MPG's are a concern and additional power is not.

Your best options IMO are:

4.88's- More power
4.56's- Better fuel efficiency

I have 35x12.5r20 it's a pretty heavy combo, auto and superchips... I am very happy with it! I don't know why everyone always complains about the motor? It's a jeep not a sports car...

Everyone complains because they don't live in Illinois! I'm from the Decatur area and it's FLAT. The first time you travel on a 70-75mph interstate through the mountains, you will understand because your engine will be revving it's ass off to maintain that speed.

My 4 dr with stock 32's can barely make it up a hill in overdrive but kill the overdrive and its alright. I don't know what it would do with 35's without a gear swap. Do you have a Rubicon or an x?

I'm trying to figure out the relationship between the Rubi and the tow package. Some vehicles with tow packages got different gearing if that tow package was factory installed, but why would that affect the Rubi's (which always come with 4.10s)?
