How do I reset my ESP / Traction control lights?
Just finished my lift and re-centered my steering wheel on Friday. I Didn't get the wheel perfectly straight the first time and when I was test driving, the ESP / Traction control lights came on and remain on.
How do I rest the lights?

Undo the neg on your bat terminal and let it sit for 20 min. It should reset. Or other people have driven around for awhile and it goes off on it's own. First way gets rid of it quick.

Go to your local Advance Auto shop. they can read clear codes free of charge. If the lights do not go off it may be an ALIGNMENT CODE..... that is why you should have it read somewhere. Maybe nothing, maybe something. But i do know from personal experiance if the alignment is not correct it will throw a code and light up all the pretty ESP dash lights

Thank You!
Thanks . . . . will try to disconnect battey terminal first!
I plan on doing a alignment myself tomorrow when I can get it into a bay @ work.
Very happy with the lift and tire combination.
I will post some picks later!

Didn't work
I disconnected the Neg terminal on my battery and left it of for 20 min. = ESP Traction control lights still on. Then tried again for 30 min = lights are still on. I will go to have Advance Auto read the code w/ an ODB II and see what happens.
I was under the assumption that when you dissconnect power it would clear the code (in this case lights) until I drive it and the system detects an alignment problem then re-sends the code. Is this not true.
