It is not that hard. Have you tried doing a search for "CB install"? I would do an advanced search for title only. I used a fuse tap to power mine. You will also need to use an SWR meter to tune your antenna, if you want to get the best performance out of it.

Hit your backspace key, then scroll down a few sub-forums to the CB & Ham Radios area.

The install is pretty straight forward. The issue you may have is finding someone with a SWR meter to tune it.

It's as difficult or in depth as you want to make it.

I'm stuck on SWR tuning - time to read.

The hardest part for me was grounding the antenna properly. Once I got that down, all the rest was child's play.

This would be done only if you have a CB antenna mount on your tailgate. The reason is the hinges do not allow for a good constant ground between the tub and tailgate. You will get very inconsistent SWR readings which leads to poor performance and possibly damage to the CB radio. You must remember that the whip is only 1/2 of the antenna system....your Jeep makes up the other 1/2. Ground, ground, ground!!

Anyone here have a firestik antenna and cable mounted on a TF spare tire mount? How did you set up/ground?
