how high can you lift a wrangler without voiding the warranty
Depends on the dealer. I have a TF leveling kit in mine and I once asked a service writer at a particular dealership whether that would be a problem, and he told me that they would void the warranty. The 2 dealerships that I actually use have no problems with my modifications. Also, unless the modification contributes to the problem that needs repair, they are not supposed to decline the warranty coverage. For example, replacing a driveshaft shouldn't affect a repair needed for the air conditioning.
In your case, with a 3.5" lift, you'll be changing a lot of suspension components, so you'll face more of an issue than my simple TF lift.

This is a complex question... Mopar offers/sell a 2 inch lift that maintains entire vehicle limited warranty - stated by MOPAR. Vehicle modifications can/will effect warranty coverages; e.g.. you have a part failure that can be related or caused by the modification then warranty coverage would be declined; a 4 inch lift would not cause a stereo system failure or powerwindow motor failure so their warranty would be under the vehicle limited warranty. The determination of did the modification contribute or cause the failure decision would rest with the service manager of the dealership performing the repairs & should they need additional guidance they would contact the FCA tech line or district manager.
Depends on the issue to be warrantied, the specific dealership you go to, the specific lift, who sold it, and even who installed it. No clear answers, but probably better to go on the assumption that any suspension/steering/powertrain warranty issue will be declined (with them pointing at your non-mopar / non-dealer installed lift) and you will have to put in the effort to run it up the fiat/chrysler management heirarchy. If you find yourself with what you think is a justifiable claim that is being denied, you always have social media and lawyers....
And tell us you did not go with a rough country 3.5"

Yup, please, please, please do not do a RC lift.....or else you'll be coming back and asking us for more help with your crappy steering.
Let me add in to what everyone mentioned already since this is somewhat complicated and often misunderstood....even by the dealerships. I've done quite a bit of research on this topic, so here goes.
- A dealership can not void your factory warranty for any modification you make to your vehicle
- They can deny a warranty claim "if" the failure you're trying to get repaired under the factory warranty can be determined by the dealership tech, that the failure can be contributed to your modification.
- Adding the Mopar 2in lift does not ensure you can be denied for a factory warranty claim.
- However, "If" you get the Mopar 2in lift AND have it installed by an authorized dealership then the Mopar lift comes with additional gap coverage to your factory warranty. In that if the dealer tech determines your warranty claim was caused due to the Mopar lift or the installation, then the dealership can deny the factory warranty claim but the Mopar lift warranty will then kick in and cover the repair and replacement costs of any of the Mopar lift parts, and the factory parts.
- The above does not apply to any other brand lift besides the Mopar 2in lift, there isn't any other lift brand that provides additional warranty that will cover the repair and replacement costs to the factory parts.
- Other aftermarket lift brands provide a warranty for defects for their supplied lift parts....but not the labor to replace them.

Rednroll nailed it.
Keep in mind, your steering and drivetrain components (like your driveshafts) will wear out over time anyways. Unless you lift it 3+ inches on stock control arms, your driveshafts won't fail within the 36,000 mile warranty without either wheeling it hard, or having terrible pinion angles. Your steering and ball joints will wear out sooner if you drive plenty of crappy roads, or wheel in the rocks. Regardless, I would never take it back for warranty on these components. You don't want the stock garbage again.

As noted above, they can only deny warranty on issues directly related to the failure as it was caused by the modification. It's a slippery slope on some things, such as putting 35's on and losing a transmission. The dealer will try very hard to relate the two and get in your pocket for the repair costs, regardless of what caused the failure.
It's all spelled out under Federal law in the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

go talk to your local dealers they are the ones you will most likely be using, some are mod friendly and some are not. I had a 3.5 lift and 35's and the front axle seals replaced 2X under warranty as well as the radiator and the oil filter cooler and dealer never had an issue. there have been others who have been denied with the same size lift and tires. It really is dependent on the dealership. If my driveshafts would have failed or my tranny I am not sure they would have been so friendly but then again maybe they would have been. It has been proven over and over that MM is worthless. Aftermarket loves to recite it but when the poor consumer ends up fighting with the bit corporations it really means diddly squat.
