how to mount beadlocks? and what psi
I just got a used pair of spyderlocks. how hard is it too mount and fill the tires? and what psi? Im going to be running 35x12.50r17 Mt/r's with kevlar. your help is appreciated
They take some time to mount, just follow the instructions. Tire psi is the same with normal rims except for deflating and that becomes a personal preference and can change with different tires and load ranges. I run 11 on my fronts and 6 in the rear most of the time. I don't have hydraulic steering so anything less then 9 psi on the front gets too hard to turn the wheel with my 37" mtr/k tires. I have rock monsters not spider locks btw.
You tube "mounting beadlocks" second one down is a good video of a fj cruiser they are putting some beadlocks on. its pretty good. I didn't use the tie downs for setting the inner bead.
I put the tire and rim on a five gallon bucket, inner bead down, and filled it with air and set the inner bead like that. I run mine on the road with 30 psi.
