How much better are Bilsteins?
I have Bilstein's with my Full Traction 3" Lift and I love them. They are definitely more responsive, and a little more tight than the factory. I drive the Jeep with the sway bar disconnected pretty much all the time, and they keep it nice and smooth with very little roll.
I have the Bilstein HDs (for non lifted applications) and they are firm and reduce body roll a lot. However I am curious about the new Edelbrock shocks. Supposedly, they are "smart shocks" that know when to soften or stiffen based on the road.
Great thread.
I have bilstein hd on my race Vette and love them. But... How about on a 2.5" lifted jk which I tow a tent trailer with?
Would the teraflex shockor bilstein be recommended? Why?
TIA

X2 - I have friends w/ TeraFlex VSS 9550's and RC Performance 2.2's and the both love 'em.
I went w/ Skyjacker hydros...
eh, its a shock, that gave me more travel. Then rusted in 3 months.
I wish I would've spent a lil more $$$ on a better shock.

Has anybody had problems with there Bilstein Corroding on the shock wall? I have them on my 07 JK and they look like CRAP! I know I can take them off and buff them out. But for the price of these shocks you would think they would hold up better then painted shocks.
