Default How much things cost?

I am looking to price out a lift and gears for my 2008 4dr wrangler X. It has 3.73 auto trans. I would use it mostly for a daily driver but would like to take it on the trails when I get a chance. If you could let me know roughly what I should expect to pay and if there are some things that I should add to my list.

1. 3"-4" lift installed (I dont know a ton about this stuff so any advice on a type of lift or style of lift would be great)

2. Re- gearing. Looking to go to between a 4.88and 5.13 (any suggestions?)

3. Anything else I should be thinking about getting?

Thanks in advance
JD

depends on the lift you get. a basic kit can be installed in about 3-4 hours and most shops will charge anywhere from $80-$120 an hour. if you get a kit that is more complete, you are looking at about 6-8 hours of work. but, i would recommend that you do your own install. if you click on the write-up link in my sig, you will find instructions on how to do this yourself.

with 35" tires and an auto, i would recommend 5.13's. this will cost you about $1200-$1500 to have done with parts.

at 3" of lift and an auto, you will need a new u-joint style front driveshaft. this will cost you about $450.
