How this Thread started make sure you buy quality wheels spacers. I installed Spidertrax Black 1.5" Spacers and had new Goodyear Duratrac 315/70/R17 tires installed on factory wheels and Discount Tire did not have problem mounting the tires and torqueing the wheel spacers.

Been running G2 1.5''spacers for over two years with no issues. Make sure you use thread lock...

This question gets asked at least once a month on how safe they are. From my experience I've never had any issue with any wheel spacers on any vehicle that I've owned. With that said I plan on purchasing some spider trax spacers next week.

I'll give my input to the ol thread,

If you buy quality spacers, install them correctly and go back and re-torque or check the torque when recommended by the manufacturer, they are perfectly safe.

I have ran spidertrax 1.5 spacers for four years now with 37"s and beadlocks. Tons of highway, moderate offroad. 70000km and no issues. I've checked the torque on them when I had my wheels off and they've never come loose. On and off with rotor changes as well and no problems. Quality spacers are absolutely safe.

What problem were you encountering, and then searching so long for a solution to? Wheel spacers aren't rocket science. Any time someone comes on, digs up some years old post and then offers some advice driving people to a website, it seems pretty suspect. Good thing spacerguide.com is around though......gonna solve a lot of unanswered questions for the JK community now. Things that haven't been solved in 11+ years.

FWIW, Porsche used wheel spacers on the Carrera 4.
