Hey Jeek, I'm a jeep newb myself, so I know where you're coming from.

I've been doing a looooot of reading on this board, IIRC you don't need new drive shafts for 2.5" of lift, once you start going 3+ you start needing more things like driveshafts, which is why I'm sticking with 2.5" and 35's.

Personally, at the end of the month, I'm going with either the Teraflex 2.5" lift or the budget boost with shocks, for the difference of about 220 bucks (730 vs 510 on northridge4x4) I'm probably just going to go with the springs, but I haven't decided yet...

I'm installing my own lift with the help of some local jeepers, if you want to come hang out and see how it's done (I've never done it before so I'm relying on them) I'm sure you'd be welcome.

Also, if you're on facebook enter to win the lift kit northridge4x4 is giving away.

(side note, is that link ok? It's not to a forum sponsor but it is to a forum sponsor's facebook page...)

Call Dave at Northridge 4X4 and tell him what your plans are. They deal with all the best vendors and they know their %@*& ! More than likely he will ask you things that you never thought of and he will guide you in the right direction. My 2 cent, go with the Rock Krawler 2.5 inch kit. Alot of guys on the forum have gone this way and you can build up from there. Welcome to the POORHOUSE of MODS & 4 WHEELING. Dave will keep it from being a long strange trip
