Yes as a matter of fact I did. The seller said he will set things straight. He can't reset his Jeep to factory specs because it was sold a while back. Apparently he has an in with a parts seller who can get another one that is ready to go. Let's hope so.

And the point wasn't to be an assclown Harbourone. It was to make sure that nobody made the same mistake I made. If you want to flame someone for trying to help out go find another thread to make jokes on.

good deal. Hopefully they will pull through for you and correct it. if they don't, I'd prob burn them over on Ebay for the comment review thing, or whatever it is. I don't use ebay.

Yeah if it doesn't work out, I will just chalk it up to a $250 loss and get a better programmer. I hear that there are others out there that work much better. When in the CJ-building mode, I tuned EFI systems with a laptop and this cool toy called an AutoPROM. It's too bad I can't get one of those that will work with the JK. Unfortunately they were all setup to work with GM EFI systems.

Yeah I think the only reason you didn't initially come off very well here is because you threatened to badmouth hypertech. Once you clarified it's cool.

Yeah I am sure that somewhere in the instructions it says that the tuner can only be used on one vehicle at once. I didn't know that was the case until I tried to program my JK. Again, if it doesn't work out I am sure I can find something different with a bit more functionality.

Don't ever buy hypertech. there customer support is pay up you must have confused it or something. worst customer support I've ever dealt with for a performance company!

I feel there software to un-vin and reprogram a different vehicle is flagged to screw up your unit. from the forums online and any other google like search for "hypertech problems" vin locked programmer comes up the same answerer. even if it was vin unlocked it will fail on you! case and point. it's programmed to. I did everything i was suppose to do for it to work and somehow checking for updates with there software it vin learn to my previous vehicle again but retained the software for my currently supposed to be vin locked vehicle rendering the unit useless as it was loaded with 07-10 wrangler software and vin matched to a 05 grand cherokee. so it would not operate with anything. finally got it to vin unlock next time connected to there software it went "code 1000" and when messaged again it's send it in and it's 200$ again. geshh no thanks.

don't buy this unit! or anything of theirs just for no customer support regardless
