(for a personal opinion - Programmers: I like the procal much better than the flashcal, mainly due to issues with the products and the piss poor tech support at superchips. Many people think the tunes are great, just wasn't my experience with either product...)
thanks man. Still kinda learning about tuners and programmers and what's right for my jeep. The names seem to run together. Thanks for the insight though.

Yeah, it can get confusing with the various options. And Hypertechs decision to call theirs a programmer doesn't help. But at least there are a ton of threads on the flashpaq tuner to read through to get more opinions on whether the small power gains will be worth the price.

Either way, you will want something to adjust the tire size, if for nothing else than to correct the speedo/odo/mpg's.

Default Hypertech Programmer - doesn't have my gear ratio

I've used the Hypertech programmer for a few years. Just upgraded to 37" tires with 5:38 gears but the programmer only goes to 5:13. Does anyone know if this programmer can be software updated to reflect the 5:38s or am I stuck looking for a new programmer?
