Ok, question...
Those of you giving MPG before and after with tire size changes, did you adjust for the odometer being off with the tire size change before programming? Going from a stock 32" tire to a 35" tire is going to make your odometer read low. Which in turn will make it look like you are getting horrible fuel economy.
If you did do the math, then those kinds of gains are pretty nice.

I saw absolutely NO gain when installing my Hypertech, in fact my mileage stayed pretty much the same!
Of course I installed it after a 4.5" lift, 37" tires, new front and rear bumpers and new gears. lol So to me, it was well worth it just to have an accurate speedometer, but the added benefit was my mileage not really going down. In fairness, it did go down, but only by a 10th or two on the highway. The only time I've ever been able to get over 300 miles to the tank is after all of the above were installed. So, is it worth it? I'd say only if you have extensive mods done, added weight, etc.
I can't speak on the added HP, as I've also got a CAI and Flowmaster. None of them added lots of HP, but it sure does sound cool. lol

I run...
Hypertech Programmer
K&N Filter in the stock box unmodified
4.10 gears
6 speed manual
35" tires
tires and wheels weigh 97 lbs total
I took this JK built in 11/06 back for tc shudder and they reflashed it. It would lock up in 4th or 3rd at about 1300r's and I like that but the sudder had to go. It had about 6000 miles on it and when I got it back I felt no more shudder but strangely it will lock up in 4th which is good but not 3rd and that's bad. It may lock at high rpm in 3rd but I want it back to original. Additionally when it locks up it only slides into lockup bringing the rpms down slowly which induces heat and ware.
Will the Hypertech Tuner address the lockup issue like its reported to give firm transmission shifts?
