I bought a parts JK...
Hey there, 1st time posting! I recently got a 2010 Sahara for parts to modify my '08 JK. Has anyone out there made their full doors into half doors with much success? Most of the threads I've found online are from guys custom fabing half doors from scratch. I'm extremely handy, and have all the tools to do the project- just looking for inspiration.

I bought a set of full doors for cheap and thought about trying to make half doors. Ended up trading them for oem half doors. Took a while and many said it wouldn't happen. Ended up having a guy drive 20 hours to trade his half doors for my full doors. Took lots of patience to find someone, but it was definitely worth it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Not worth the time or effort. Door handle and internal parts are all mounted too high, so you'd have to move all of that just to match the body line. All of the interior trim on the door would have to go.
Never heard of someone buying a stock Jeep for parts... Maybe to make a trail buggy. What exactly is worth using on the parts Jeep?

If I purchased a parts JK, depending on the body shape, I think I would be busy adding parts to it to turn it into a full-time buggy.
