I NEED SEATS! Advise Please
Guys I have put up with my factory vinyl seats long enough. The vinyl makes you sweat something aweful. I am looking into prp currently but wanted some feedback on what everyone is using. I do want a recliner due to my rig being a 2 door.
Some people may not know what "prp" is, including me. I didnt know Jeep offered a vinyl seat on a 2007-2011 JK?
They sure do my 09 2door has them unfortunately. At first i thought that they would be nice, easy to clean etc. I found out that you sweat your ass off while driving down the road. I considered seat covers but most are super cheesy.
Seats will set you back some $$$. For a fraction of the cost, get a decent set of neoprene seat covers. I found a set (front & rears) for less than $200 on ebay.
I agree that seats are going to get expensive. Consider these options.
1. Decent seat covers. See this thread on the forum,

2. Visit your local upholstery shop and ask them about stripping off your vinyl and replacing it with something of your choice.
3. Start your own company and make adapter brackets to enable swapping in more comfortable seats from a very popular vehicle (cheap seats at the junk yard). Pick something that has leather. Bonus if they include seat heaters with simple circuitry and switches.
I'd buy if you did #3.

JK factory seats are junk, no lumbar support and not bolstered. I want a seat that wraps around me and isnt going to kill my back. are there any nice sport buckets out there that are water resistant?
Camp put new seats from Autozone or something in his 2010 Sema Truck at $150 a pop. Just bolt ins to the stock brackets. Get up with him for more info. I think he was going to start selling them too.
If I went to a local upholstery shop and asked them to reupholster my existing seats, would they be able to do something about the factory airbags in mine (I don't have nylon seats)? My fabric is getting dirty/worn out and I don't see any seat covers in material/fabrics that I like.
