Default I now understand why its called shittybuilt

Washing the jeep yesterday I noticed dents in the body on the other side of my sliders. These shitty things just flex and crush the body! Yes they are bolted down tight. They didn't even bend to stay tucked in. I havnt even hit them that hard!! Just slammed, dented and went back to shape. On both sides!! Granted the sliders came with my jeep. Still pissed. End rant

Is it possible they were there when you bought the jeep? That maybe whoever you bought it from used them to cover up the pre existing dents? Just curious..

I like that style too. I heard that the two door version is stronger

X2 on this. The sliders look perfectly straight unless I'm missing something

Edit: I guess they do align with the lateral pieces. Just hard to believe they could deflect that much and return to original shape. Steel isn't that elastic-y

Anything is better than shittybilt. I'm going with poison spyder when I upgrade, but my buddy just put the weld-on EVO sliders. Probably the strongest on the market, weld right to the frame and are beefy!

Not possible. I got the jeep with 10,000 miles. Currently has 64,000. And when I got it there was not a mark on any skid or sliders. This happened in past month. I notice things like that. Iv wheeled Moab ouray silverton telluride grand junction all in past month. And hit the sliders. Today I got my hi lift and tested it. Cranked up on them, they bent to the body and then went back to original. Checked to make sure there were bolted down as much as possible.

Idk why they are bouncing back, you would think they would stay bent huh. Tomorrow I'm gonna take them off and seal where the paint broke.

Heading to Moab tomorrow too. Blah!
