You will be fine with these. The Smitty sliders are mounted very close to the body and have a little bit of deflection to them. However the body also moves a lot since its mounted in rubber.
These sliders give you more of a gap between them and the body so it isn't likely that it will contact the body when it is moving around.
Ace makes quality parts and you will be happy with these sliders.

Thanks! One thing I was wondering though, Should I have removed the rubber grommets on top of the body mounts? From watching the ACE install video and searching, it did not look like people do this- but to me it seems like it would be a better contact and also bring it up 1/2 inch.
