Question INFO on EAGLE ALLOY 137

New to the JK life. I am interested in the EAGLE 137 wheels 16x8. I saw on another forum where someone had problems with this wheel rubbing the brake caliper. I was wondering if anyone has or had these wheels, and if they had to use wheel spacers or not. I am looking at the Cooper Discoverer STT 315/75/16. Along with a RC 2.5 BB lift. Thanks for any info.

I see the 137 series have 4.625" of backspacing. I have the 140 in 16x8 which have 4.517" of bs. No spacers and no problems with the calipers.

Just wondering if anyone has the setup that I am looking at. If so, could some pics be posted. Does anyone have the Discoverer STT, if so do they hold up very well.

I have the 16x8s with Kumho mud terrains 265/75/16's i think they are (32"), no rub in fact it eliminated the rub i had with the stock rims due to the new backspacing.. mint... looks great, lots of compliments

Default here are the 17x8's

for what its worth...here's my EA 137's with 17x8. I wasn't sure the backspacing was gonna be right with the 16x8 so I went with the 17's. The backspacing was 4.25". I figure I will be in good shape for 35's next time around.

Enjoy

I got the Eagle 140's 17x8 with 4.5 BS. I am running a 33x12.50R17 and in stock suspension I had no rubbing issues turning...lock to lock. Only rubbing with stock suspension was on the rear fender flares when I was flexing off road. The backspacing of 4.5 BS with the 12.50 wide tire pushed the tires out about 1/2" outside the stock fender flares.

I have a 2" RE BB with mono shocks to take care of the rubbing while flexing.

I have been extremely happy with the Cooper STT's. Great wearing, quiet, great traction in mud & off-road conditions & best price I could find for a good quality M/T.

Here is a picture of my JK with the eagle alloy 140's on 33x12.50R17 Cooper STT.
