Subject: Teraflex 4" system with 35" need bump stop help

Gauge,

Sorry if I spelled it wrong. As I promised you, here are the pics of my JK
that High Country Performance 4x4 just installed. 4" System.

As you can see I have tons of up travel space as I am only running 35" on
Mickey Thompson's with 5" backspace. My question yesterday was if we can get
more than the 1.5 -2" of up travel increased. As you can see there is plenty
of room but you informed me that they made the bump stops for 37" tires, and
restricted the up travel accordingly. Can you give me some suggestions.

I appreciate any feedback and will relay your findings to High Country
Performance 4x4 ( your dealer). I am taking it back to reset the steering
wheel and increase the caster a bit, they set at factory (4+ degrees) but
it feels like it needs about 5-6 degrees of caster.

Please let me know what adjustments we can make to the bumps to compensate.

Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,

Keith Giacchino

Keith,

I have reviewed this with our Engineer's and did some measuring on a JK with
the 4" Lift we have in the shop and everything seems to be in line. The JK
we have here, measured 1.75" between the bump stops on the front and talking
with our technician, that is about all you really want. He also stated that
the factory spec for castor is 3 degrees and he is usually setting them
around 4 degrees on the alignment. Each JK is a little different and you
can do some testing between 2 - 5 degrees to find where the best setting
might be for your application. Our kits are designed for specific
applications and we cannot be held responsible if a customer chooses to
modify our product for his specific application.
Thanks for buying TeraFlex and I hope this helps.
