Default installed front trac-bar drop bracket

ok so i have a 4" lift and i installed a full traction front trac-bar drop bracket and it brang my trac bar down to just about paralell to my drag link and i also ordered the new drop pitman arm but just mocking up the pitman arm and it looks like it will bring my drag link too low to be paralell with trac-bar...should i leave it alone the way it is with just the drop trac-bar bracket? and no new pitman arm ? or should i install the pitman arm and if i do what are the consequences of having the drag link lower than the trac-bar?

as you can see from the pics above the angles of my tracbar and draglink are just about papalell to one another and i have a new pitman arm and was wondering if i needed to install it or not?

, but I think you still need the drop pitman arm.

thats what I was going to say. you cannot compare that bent arm to the other one. If that was the way to correct geometry you would see crazy angles on all kinds of stuff. No matter the track bar shape, the axle is centered by the relation of the bracket to the other really. so just draw a line from bolt to bolt. go parallel to that.

So the angles would be better without the drop bracket, correct? (assuming the upward curve of that arm cleared up top...)

No, the angle would be better with both the drop bracket and the drop pitman arm.

Thanks. I'll look around for some pics with both drop brackets used, as geometry still confuzzles me.

just add a drop pitman and call it done. if you really need a visual, take another photo with the entire track arm and draglink in it. then take MS paint or similar to draw a straight line from the bolt on one end of the track arm to the bolt at the other end of the arm. then look at your drag link in relation to the line you drew. The drop pitman will drop the draglink down to parallel. the less of an angle on the two of them will give you less bumpsteer and better handling

wow, i love you guys ( in a non gay way ) what you said actually makes sense
if i do draw a line from that bolt then the drag link does need the pitman arm, honestly, i put the drop bracket in and was expecting my steering to be great but didnt feel right. it was a lil tighter but the steering wheel would slightly tug a lil one way then a lil tug the other way, but so slightly but it did'nt feel safe i thought it was gonna put me into the other lane , it was just an uneasy feeling. the loose wandering affect was gone only to be replaced with what i described......

so now the question is can i remove the drag link at the pitman arm end without damaging my moog end on my rockrawler drag link?

so to remove the pitman arm i obviously need a pitman arm puller right?

any useful tips for the removal of the pitman arm and also torque settings for putting it back on?

i really appreciate the help guys!
