Yes, get a good pitman arm puller, a hammer, and a small torch.
You can a pickel fork to remove the drag link from the pitman arm or try using the puller, once you have the pitman arm off of the shaft.
I pulled my pitman arm in the morning when the jeep and components were all cool. Install the puller and tighten it down. It most likely won't come off. Keep it tight and try tapping the arm with the hammer. The vibrations will sometime be enough to break the hold. If that does not work get the torch and only warm around the pitman arm, not on the shaft. The heat was enough to break the hold on mine and I then could remove it the rest of the way with the puller. You can a pickel fork to remove the drag link from the pitman arm.
When replacing the drop pitman arm it needs to be torqued to 185 ft lbs and the drag to 75 ft lbs.

Here is a write up on a lift. You only need to look through #19 through about #28 for the pitman arm.

Today i will be installing my FT pitman arm after work so wish me luck.
I'll post the results and some new pics of the angles with the new setup of the
Pitman arm and the FT drop bracket, as well as how the jeep handles on the road.
Like i said before, the 4" lift without the drop bracket and stock pitman arm was loose and unstable, with the drop bracket the steering became much tighter which was a drastic improvement but would tug a bit left or right and im hoping the new pitman arm will bring it all together to give me back normal steering/stock feeling which is what i am sure we all strive for in our JK's. Just cause we lift em does'nt mean we have to lose drive-ability .

Once i install my RK tie rod and my pitman arm then the JK goes in for
The TW front driveshaft install and they are gonna do my alignment and wheel
Balancing and im gonna have em set it @ 7*.

Anyone know the socket size (metric) for the pitman arm? Cause ill be buying the pitman arm puller and anything else i need today.

i forgot to post my results of my drop pitman arm install and can tell you that the combination trac bar drop bracket and the new pitman arm has really made a world of difference since the install i now drive my jeep with no worries or complaints. the jeep drives straight with no wandering or shaking or anything abnormal, of course i also installed my rockrawler HD tie-rod which replaced the bent OE one which im sure caused alot of my problems but the combination of all 3 along with the front axle being centered via the RK HD drag link makes a world of difference and my jk drives like a stock non lifted vehicle...one thing i should point out for anyone who installs a 2.5" spring lift or even a 3" spring lift is that most of the lifts give you way more lift than the lft implies and that you read here all the time you only have 2.5" or 3" and you dont need this or that but in actuality you really do and before you install your lifts you should really take a measurement before and after....
