Default installing shocks. need advice

I bought some new shocks and I plan on installing them today.
I have a couple of questions.

do I need to lift up the rear to put them on?
it looks like I should just be able to unscrew the bolts that hold the rear shock in place, pull out the shock and replace it with the new one.

now, on the front. it looks like I should be able to turn the tire hard and be able to reach in and undo the shock and remove and replace with the new one.
is this possible or do i need to jack up the front and remove the tire on each side to be able to get to the shock.

thanks in advance!!!

as you've guessed, you do not need to lift up your jeep or remove your tires in order to install a set of new shocks. the factory shocks are gas charged and so some brute force will be needed to push up and remove them and if your new shocks are gas charged as well, the same amount of force will be needed to get them in. not that big of a deal though.
