I have those exact rims on mine. Sorry I can't get pic's right now. I can't say about your your tire size but I have 275/70/17 Cooper AT3's on mine and it fits fine. The tread, on mine, stick out about an 1/8 inch past the stock fenders with the sidewall adding another 1/2 . The outside edge of the rim itself appears to be even with the stock fenders. Sorry I can't be more help but maybe this will help a little.

EDIT: Sorry, talking about the polished ION 171 17x9 with the 5" backspace.

So it sounds like the wheel sits right about where I thought it would. The tire should tuck just inside the fender when flexing if I put a 315/70R17. This is very helpful. Thank you. I would be grateful if you could get a few pics when you have a chance. Thanks again.

Hopefully the pic comes through ok. This is with the stock suspension.

I like they way they sit...I don't want to have wheels sticking out too far. I think that backspacing will work perfect for me. If you have a chance, can you provide some side views showing how the wheels look on the Jeep? Thanks for helping out and posting up that pic showing the wheels/tires in relation to the fender.

Here are a few more. The tires look much smaller in the pic than what they really look like. Blame it on the cameraman

Those look sweet!!! They almost look chromed there so shiny..lol. I didn't think the finish would look that good after road use. The tires look good too. I'm going with a 2.5" AEV lift..that's why I'm going to the 315/70R17. Those look perfect on your Jeep. Glad to see someone else who didn't go with the black. Thanks for the pics.

Actually, there is very noticable corrosion on the rims from the salt used on the roads here. I will have to buff that out in a few days. Hopefully you don't have to deal with that where you live.

I'm in SoCal so we don't get any snow except the surrounding mountain areas. I don't think they salt the roads at all up there though. I guess the pic is a little blurry etc.. so I don't even notice the wear. Would you recommend these wheels after owning them? What are your thoughts on your experience?

Outside of the corrosion I have no problem with them. I knew, when I bought them, I would be dealing with salt on the roads so the corrosion was expected. If you are going rock crawling or doing serious off roading you may want to go with steel rims.

Well that's great to hear. I wont be doing any serious stuff so the steelies are unnecessary...just light trails and sand. I will be posting a thread for my mods soon. My AEV kit, drop brackets, and procal will be here on Tuesday and will be going on Saturday. Hopefully wheels and tires by the following Saturday, and the new Teraflex tire carrier when it's available.
Thanks again for the info...I am sold.
