I know what super swamper makes tires for and its not made for pavement. On that note 4wheelparts has what I think is a good deal (165@free shipping)on some 285/75/17 iroks and they're supposed to be a radial tire. Anybody have an experience with these under a jk(2dr)? Do they ride awful, wear quickly, etc? I had some thornbirds on a ranger and that had to be the best looking/awful ride ever but they were great offroad which served their purpose.

Price seems pretty goo, and I'm sure the ride won't be to bad if there radials, but I'm sure they will wear very fast still.

They wear fast and ride is not as good as most mainstream mud tires. As is usually the case, they don't off-road as well as the bias ply version.

I am assuming you referring to the 70 series tire, not a 75? Not a huge difference (well, about 1" in height), but worth noting.

These are also their ND tires (non directional) which are far and few between for reviews. I have never even seen one in person, and I have seen godzillions of the bias ply's. I think you will have a hard time finding people with first hand information on them.

Also, considering the 315/70/17 is $335 I would almost bet they have the incorrect price on the website for the 285's (these two tire sizes are typically near the same price range). It would be worth a call just to make sure.

Anyway, I hope some more reviews pop up as I am interested as well! That is cheap as hell!
