I got mine at a local autozone for $30. 3 ton, 24" height. These are the heaviest duty I found locally. They are beefy enough and worked fine for my lift.

If I had found any heavier stands when I was looking, I would have gone up though.

Whatever you do, don't cheap out on them. A cheap jack is one thing, since it is only made to raise a load and not support it. Trying to cheap out on jack stands might be the last thing you ever do.

im glad that i hadnt taken my tires off the JK yet, the explosive sound the stands made as they collapsed just about made me shit my pants.

i do, as a regular thing, put my tire under the frame rail to provide a little extra protection.

my new stands are heavy duty, made for SUVs.

on a sadder, side note.... the day my sister got married ( i was a volunteer fire captain at the time) i got a phone call that one of my fire fighters on my crew was killed when a car he was working on collapsed the jack. he was NOT using jack stands. he was 19. i still think about that when i get under my rig, jack stands not withstanding

Like one of the guys said get the best ones you can find it is your life depending on them. Look for the ones with a wide base for better stability. My dads side of the family is all mechanics and we always used iron I beams with extra support welded in. Just a thought if you know a welder

I have some 6 ton I think.. heavy duty I bought from sears 15 years ago. The are really heavy duty. if you won't trust them with your life, then don't get them.

I rock 6ton jackstands. I don't take chances with that kind of stuff. I had 3ton ones but at full extension they didn't even get the JK's tires off the ground!

I use 6 ton on my axles, 12 ton on the frame. Mostly for height considerations.

I picked up 2 sets of the craftsmen professional ones (yellow and black), they extend pretty high and support well, no complaints
