I've got 6 stands, and i use everyone of them i can fit depending on where I'm working. 2 are those blackjack 6 ton suv stands from walmart. then I've got 4 3 ton stands. I'd definately go with the 6 for the jeep, basically cuz the bases of 3 ton stands are so small, not stable at usable height.

Amen, I use #4 6 ton jack stands on each end. #2 3 ton for the axle, and tires underneath. Also, have both floor jacks underneath. Some say overkill, but I will not have my jeep come crashing on me.

We bought 4 of the 12 ton jack stands from Harbor Freight. These things are unbelievable in size compared to 3 and 6 tons models. Makes easy work of supporting our JK that has a 6.5" lift on 37's

Put the jack stands under the least wobbly part i.e. the frame. Don't use them under the axles. I'm still thinking about them on the trail. We were working on a blown axle with the JK lifted by a hydraulic bottle jack. Didn't like that at all. Maybe one of those ARB or Bushmaster exhaust jacks?
