Default JET Performance Stage 1 Module

Has anyone run a JET Performance Stage 1 Module on a Jeep, and what was the result? Curious as to the potential power gain combined w/ a AEM cold air intake for the 3.8... Thanks for any input in advance...

AEM: I am currently running the AEM cold air + throttle body spacer on my '05 TJ. I also am running a Pro Comp Stage II 4" lift and 33x12.5 tires, with stock 3.73 gears. Since adding everything my Jeep runs better than before and has lots of power off the line. And I have no problems with 6th gear acceleration either at 75 mph. Although I can't get it up much past 80... I'm putting the same set up (cold air + throttle body) on my JK.

id be willing to bet it reacts better than a tj would to those type of mods- just because the 4.0 right now is at its max as far as performance capabilities and the v6 should take to performance parts like that nicely- most v6 engines do.

We have done a bunch of Jet chips in the past on TJ's. You lose a lot of midrange on the vehicle. i would never put one in mine.

I am currently running a Trail Jammer complete kit and it has been the biggest improvement of any combination of add-ons I have seen.

Trailjammer kit is: Open air element filter and ductwork(intake), larger throttle body, and Add-on module

Or, you can get it w/o the intake

Thanks Jasonc. Interesting. Doesn't look like they've come out with one for a JK yet, though.

The Jet stage one kit is the only add-on I have at this time and I did notice a small improvement over stock. The biggest improvement that I noticed would have to be that before I added the chip I couldn't stand the overdrive ON(automatic) while driving around town. It kept shifting up and down quite often at around 40mph(according to my driving habits) so I used to turn off the overdrive to keep it from shifting so much. Since adding the chip I have left it in overdrive and not had the same issues since. I have to believe that the chip has added a fair amount of torque because of these results. I know this type of improvement is only minor but for me it was worth the $185 I spent on my chip. I found mine at Autoanything.com while they had a %20 on the Jet chips and Yahoo.com had some coupons good for free shipping and an added %10 or something like that. It pays to shop.
