I feel your pain with the IFS. I lifted a liberty and it was a nightmare. Any lift you gain is droop you lose. So you drive around "topped out" which makes for a scary ride on the road. CV angles are always a big problem. My upper ball joints only lasted about 100 miles. I had major contact between the control arms and the springs.... Needless to say my liberty is back to stock.

Unless you are planning to upgrade to D60 axles, I'd definately go for a rubicon, especially with the incentives they are running now.

Welcome to the forum. Get a Rubi, I wish I did.

Im from your parts, the lockers and sway bar discos arent really needed here, but when you get the bug and need to go to Rausch, you will be kicking yourself.

on the lift, Id go Teraflex. if you run 37's you will begin to break stuff. 35's you SHOULD be safe if you dont wheel it to hard.

Also, I know its a bit of a ride, But Browns Jeep on Route 112 has a lot of JK's in stock.

Now what would be a good idea to do if i do run 37's to prevent problems? Better parts, etc.

I like the look of the 4 with 37's, but i dont want to be going over the jeeps limitations.

Im thinking about going to Port Jeff Jeep, just picked up a blue sahara there a few weeks ago, my friend got $6000 off sticker price, so ill see what they can do for me. I really want to find a stone white rubi 6 spd. I'll fly somewhere and drive it back if its a good price!

Welcome to the Forum

I was in your shoes before buying my X trying to figure out what would be the best option. If you do a search you will find many comparisons of cost of upgrading a X to a Rubi equivalent. For me I found an 07 X so cheap that I jumped all over it. With a lift and wheels and tires, bumpers and tire carrier I still have not spent as much as I would have for the cheapest Rubi I could find

I have also noticed that quite a few of the Rubi owners still end up modifying a lot of the parts that you are paying for compared to a stock In other words if you see yourself upgrading the lockers, sway bar, lift, wheels, etc then you might as well just start out with the X.

I am kind of rambling here so my apologies, but if you look into the lockers, gearing, or what ever you have planned, take the cost of that and subtract from what the axles cost then see what you are left with

At the end of the day it is what ever deal you can find that should determine your descision

All good advice here, but don't think a JK won't break. I just had to weld my track bar bracket back on! They are easy to work on though

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you do some hard core wheeling. I would definately go with a Rubi.
