Default JK Teraflex Big Brake Rebuild Parts?

Hi Everyone,

I have the Teraflex Big Brake kit on my 2015 JKUR. It's time for new rotors and pads, so I plan to do a full rebuild of the calipers as well.

Because the pads match a 2009 Ram 1500, I'm guessing the rebuild parts may be the same?

Does anyone know if I could purchase a rebuild kit for these calipers at a local parts store, or do I have to get that from Teraflex? I'm also curious about the pistons. I believe they are 56mm pistons and looking at my passenger side (the pistons are a little chewy) I think I need to get new ones. I hope you guys can give me some advice.

Thank you!

Are the rotors scratched, warped, or have obvious signs of wear? If not, I'd just replace the pads. What do you mean by "chewy" for the calipers?

AZJeeper has excellent points.. I have gone thru 3-4 pad replacements before the rotors were at the minimum thickness and had to be replaced.. In Pa with annual state inspections I check them yearly. Calipers work or they stick and don;t work IMO no need to rebuild if they work.. Fluid change might be more appropriate given the age of the fluid.. BTW when pushing the pistons back into the caliper and the boot is bulging carefully with a small flat blade lift the edge to allow the trapped air out and the boot will seal correctly.. Just my $0.02 worth.

The passenger side got some dirt under the piston boot and the side of the piston is a bit corroded. I called TF. They said it would be ok as is. As for the rotors, they're just too gone. I think there's 70k on them.
