Default JK Unlimited on OME with Standard Coils

Anyone see a problem with running a UL on the standard coils?
As I have said in another thread I am going to be running 33's and
my Jeep spends 99% of its life on the roads and 1 % going on
existing woods trails (no mudding or real wheeling). On road handling
and on road ride are most important to me.

I am seriously considering this since I wont be running a winch and really want to be around the 2.5 in mark.

Looks like I am also going to order new

Front lower control arms (Currie or Teraflex?)
Rear sway bar link
Bumpstops (what are they for and do I need them in my application?)

I am running AEV wheels, do I need spacers??

Bumpstops (what are they for and do I need them in my application?)
They keep the tires from rubbing the fenders, and they keep the springs from over-compressing, which will damage them.

This is with a 295/75/16. (33.6" x 11.5") and ome HD springs (3 1/4" lift), you can see how much of the tire is contacting the fender. I imagine a 12.5 width tire or turning the wheel would have taken the fender off...

Coil compression with no bumpstop -

Coil compression with 2" lower bumpstop (inside the coil, it's the round black part below the white bit)

Here is the answer from the FAQ that I linked in your previous thread. I'll suggest again that you browse through them...
Q: Do I need to install bump stop extensions?
A: Yes. Bump stop extensions are designed to prevent the over compression of your coils and are absolutely necessary. Bump stop extensions can also help prevent the rubbing of fender flares at a full stuff as well as the bottoming out of shocks.
Will you need them? No idea. If you never disconnect, and never do anything more strenuous than going over a speedbump at the local mall, probably not. The reason I suggested them in your previous thread is because they are cheap, and if you find that you do actually need them later on, you will have to pay someone to pull the front end apart a second time to get them installed. Call it cheap insurance. (I am referring to the fronts only, the rears are an easy install on the perch outside of the coil.)

the shocks will stop the amount of travel you have
I respectfully disagree. Those first two pics are with the shocks limiting my travel. The third shows the difference a bumpstop makes in limiting the travel...

I am running AEV wheels, do I need spacers??
How wide of a tire are you considering? And what is the backpace on the wheels? Check that FAQ linked in your other thread for info on backspace and spacers.

There was another thread a while back from someone that installed either the MD or LD springs on a 4-door, with the height increase achieved. I did a quick search, but did not locate it. Hopefully he will see this thread and let you know the height he ended up with...
