After purchasing a heavily modified '07 in the fall with thousands of dollars spent on aftermarket parts that I'm anxiously awaiting to be couriered to build it up even better.... a Chrysler dealership 3 hours away put up a '13 rubi with a jk8 kit fully installed.... bowing down to obsession, i jumped on the chance, traded my raptor in and now i have two dream vehicles (and soon to be maxed out credit card and credit line, but 'hey, u only live once!!!) ANYWAYS, the dealership informed me that the sliding window has a slight leak in heavy rain... they assured me they replaced it twice, and still the same issue under large amounts of water through the actual sliding part of the window, NOT the seal around it....i have a few months to decide if i want to have them replace it with a one piece solid window free of charge (btw, side note, Centennial Chrysler in Barrie, Ontario were AWESOME to deal with and were VERY VERY meticulous in the building process!!! They corrected the issue that everyone seems to be having with the sound bar, which they customized and looks stock ...No speaker box....I'll post pics in the upcoming weeks during my building process of both rigs)

SO, after a heavy snowfall last night, i noticed a little bit of water droplets on the inside lip underneath the window... so i asked myself, if the snow is frozen and not 'raining down with pressure' then why is there a bit of water???? I devised 2 conclusions...

1. it may not be a leak, but it may be condensation!! It's completely sealed unlike the rear window on a stock jk that isn't 100 percent water and air tight which makes the interior VERY different when riding in it... difficult to explain but it's almost like being in a sound proof room, and the doors are a little bit difficult to close.... which lead me to my second conclusion...

2. cabin pressure! normally there is a vent which is in the tailgate, and after test slamming the door u can actually see the rear window flex!!!

I'm thinking a simple temporary solution may be to leave the window on my door slightly open a crack but that's not a permanent solution..... has anyone else heard of this? or have an actual solution?? It's such a new thing that I can't find anything on the net about it, I'm gonna contact the dealer on Monday when I have time, but if anyone heard of this and know of a permanent solution besides drilling vent holes I'ld appreciate the help.

I would contact AEV, they manufacture the kit so maybe they've seen these issues before. They also have a product forum too.

This is the day I picked it up, other pics will come later. So the cab is an actual AEV top? Because the kit isn't made by them according to sever articles I've read... But there's always a solution, just gotta keep digging. Thx

Hey Trufffster, I see this is old but I just did a Google search and found this... I'm assuming you found your problem by now, and I'm sure you had condensation from dripping wet back carpets.... Dripping wet from heavy rains and water thing to drain from the truck bed, but backing up into the cab .... How could I know..... I took out my carpets yesterday, and did a water test today. 3 gallons of water poured into the bed with the truck on a slight angle in my driveway. Then watched as some drained through the floor drain under the truck and the rest rushed into the cab at the back!!! Did the dealership ever rectify the situation? I'm going to see mine tomorrow at the Windsor dealership and would like to go in with as much info as I can get....

I have a theory as to why some JK doors are harder to close. It has to do with the way we close doors. Most vehicles have heavier doors, and we start to close them we let go a little before the completely close and the momentum carries them all the way. But since JK doors are lighter if you let go before it closes all the way, it doesn't have the force to close. So you have to close it different. In other words don't let go of the door until it's completely closed.
