I was reading the installation instructions and it mentioned that it may be necessary to extend the brake line. Has anyone encountered this while installing the JKS quick disco on a stock suspension?

You shouldn't have to do it for a stock jk, but I would say go disconnect and flex your axle to see how much room you have in your brake lines that way. And then if you need to get longer ones you will know it before you get on the trail, but you should be good but Check for yourself to a 100%.

I have the JKS quick disconnects but I too did not like where the upper pin sat when strapped up as high as it would go.
We removed the pins and used beefy tie straps to hold the sway bar up. (Not a very "Quick" disconnect method!)
Half way through the day we noticed that the tire had grabbed the bar and broke both tie straps.
Hearing about the other stories, it sounds like I dodged some slashed sidewalls by removing the pins! (pure luck!)
I thought about securing it in its original position but where/how did you tie it off?

I was also told I could remove the front sway bar and change out the rear for one that is more heavy duty to pick up the slack.
That may work to some degree but does not feel like a good solution to me so I might try securing it in the original position first.

Bungee cords. Long zip ties. Short piece of rope. Whatever you have handy.

And from the install manual ...

WHEN DISCONNECTED, the Quicker Disconnects
must be completely removed from vehicle, and the
swaybar must be secured to the chassis in the hori
-zontal position to prevent interference with tires.
