Without a doubt, re-gear. I'd be extremely leery of anyone that recommended a throttle boddy spacer.

This reputable 4x4 shop tells me all i need is a cold air intake and throttle body spacer and to reprogram superships to performance tune and that I should be good to go...and that gearing was prob not necessary...

from all the research I did, I have a feeling that I will be more pleased if I go with the regearing....

hoping to hear from someone thats been in my shoes...
Just regear it, you will much better off an more happy with it.

I have an '11 JKU Rubicon, auto tranny, w/stock 4.10's and 35" tires and its sluggish as hell up and down hills/mountains. I only have CAI and Dynomax exhaust but looking to regear to 5.38 here VERY soon in the hopes of making it semi-driveable.

5.13s.

Best upgrade I have ever made, plus they will take alot of strain off of the rest of the drivetrain.

you'll get more payback with gears than the add-ons. you'll be able to use 87 octane not 91 and depending on how you gear you'll get mileage back -unless you go too tall then you'll stay the same or lose some but your power will there.

uh wife, I need to spend $1100 dollars to re-gear for the bigger tires - wait, before you say anything, it'll get us better mileage, make the transmisson last longer, and provide magical powers to take us to magical places we wouldn't be able to get to without all the modifications
