Default JSS LS Mounts

I decided on going with the Jeep Speed Shop LS mounts because they have the alignment holes that match up to holes in the frame. However when aligning the holes on the Drivers mount the rear of the mount is above the rail by about an 1/8 or a little more. Has anyone used these mounts and if so do I align the hole or just sit it flush on the frame rail? Also it appears that the mounts are not directly across from one another. Thanks in advance.

Can you get some pics of it a little closer so we can see what you're talking about?

I will tell you, I also used the JSS mounts doing my Hemi swap, and the brackets weren't PERFECTLY aligned to the contour of the frame. I just welded the shit out of it.

Hard to say without seeing closer.

Can I ask why you didn't use the motech or rpm extreme mounts? Those use the gm hydraulic motor mounts and that is an awesome motor mount by itself. Also I know they give reference points to place the brackets but you should have tacked them in and test fitted before you went to town on them.

What motor mount do those use?

Right on, thanks feroxjb If I line up the holes for the Hemi it sits perfectly but for the LS it's high in the rear. I'll take some pics and let you see what I'm talking about. I've called JSS and txt them but no response, I'm starting from scratch so I chose these mounts so I didn't have to test fit anything.... hopefully saving some time.

That sounds good in theory but never ever works out.

Ok man. After reviewing his engine mount video. I noticed that when he addresses the drivers side engine mount and the different positions, it looks pretty clear that when he positions the mount for the LS he holds the rear of the mount up slightly so the holes line up. Watch, you will see it too. I watched it a,few times and that is what I noticed.

I've never been able to get anyone at JSS to answer the phone or respond to an email so when it came to the engine side of these mounts I just watched another one of their videos. The video show part numbers but I was never able to cross reference them anywhere. So after looking at some of the other numbers I found a match to 5.7 or 4.7 mounts from a 2005 Grand Cherokee. So I finally get them in the mail from Rock Auto and they aren't even close. They look exactly like the ones in the video but the holes do not line up to my LS. Does anyone have any background with this swap and using these mounts? Thanks in advance.

Dude that sucks. I watched tha video for my Hemi swap and found that both labels up was not correct. Not a single inconvenient to what you are dealing with. It's kind of weird that according to that video you would use a mopar part for an GM swap. I hope you get it worked out. Todd is tough to get a hold of. Try from a different number. Eventually he will respond. Or maybe head over to JKO and pose the question there. Good number of LS guys over there.

Good luck.

I did find this thread where it is a JSS LS swap and it shows a pic of the engine with what appears to be the same Mopar motor mounts. On page 2.
