Default Just installed Teraflex 2.5" coil kit.

Just finished installation took about 4 hours. Everything went pretty well except for the rear swaybar links. I was under the impression that offset wheels or spacers where only needed when it came to having wider tires put on. I put the lift on today and my spacers are supposed to be here wednesday with intentions of putting 35's on then. Well my rear swaybar link on the passenger side is rubbing the wheel. A problem that will be fixed with the spacers but like I said I was under the impression that it would all work together until the wider tires were put on. Was I mistaken? Is this rubbing normal? Or do you think there is someting that I might have put on wrong that is causing this. I checked the instructions several times making sure I didn't miss anything but you know how that goes.

Thanks for any help.

Oh and I'm new to the forum and new to the JK. I have had 2 TJ's and 3 CJ2A's in the past.

Did you install the sway bar links on the INSIDE? If not you should do it, but you'll still rub at full drop till you get the spacers.

I installed them on the outside per the instructions. Looking at it I thought they shoud have gone on the inside but it says outside and to put the lower bolt in facing out so it would not interfere with the shock. Should I switch them to the inside instead?

For sure switch them to the inside. I have the Teraflex 2.5 BB and the same apply. Teraflex representative on this forum told me to install the links on the inside. I've been running the lift without spacers, no rubbing at all unless at full flex.

I'll change them and see what happens.

I had the same problem last week. Switched the links to the inside and had no issues...in fact I still have them on the inside even though I put my new wheels on .

Did your kit come with the larger track bar bracket that bolts to the axle? If so did you put your track bar in the top hole or the bottom one?

pretty sure it says on the outside of the teraflex shipping box to ensure you have spacers if you plan to run factory wheels. But yep it is normal if you install the links per the instructions.

Just checked the box. You are right but the little sticker that says that was covered by a sticker that had my shipping information on it. I never saw it.
