Default Steering Question

Ok, I am not sure how to explain this, but I have a small amount of what I would call play in the drag link when I turn my steering wheel back and forth. I had my wife get in and turn the steering wheel left and right as I put my hand on the drag link and I could feel like a popping feel when she would turn it back and forth. Has any one had this before or does anyone have any ideas.

I had a problem similar when i changed out gears from stock to 5.13 and didn't put the correct fluid back in so if you just drained the fluid or did some work in that area I would check into that...

This happens to me because of a drop pitman arm. The opening for the sector shaft was not the right diameter and over time it had loosed up and would shift during turns.

Ball joints could cause the pop to be felt in the drag link...just a thought.

The ends go bad. I had both ends replaced under warranty. The long end that connects the knuckle is about $60 wholesale and is dealer only. But the short one can be bought at just about any parts store. I think this is the moog part # ES3624

Default Try 5th wheel grease first

You may want to give this a shot before replacing any parts. Simple and cheap. I will be trying it this weekend, since my steering 'play' has become overly annoying.
