See it is comments like these that make this place great.

The aussie locker really looks like a good mod. Cheap, you can do it yourself, and the benefit is great.

yeah i think the aussie is a great idea to but i wanted the option of turning my locker off. i only plan on using my front locker if i have too. i dont want to put to much stress on my front axle. my guess with 33s or even 35s with the aussie youll be fine with it always locked but i want to be as careful as possible with the 37s

Yes having the ability to turn on/off is great, & I see your point concerning
37's & being Locked. Well time for me to leave work> (India-Bravo-Mike) and get home & make a (Mirror relocation bracket)> I almost got creamed merging onto 81 without a mirror.(Front Doors Off) Couldn't see....spooky

What i dont like about it is that when locked, its just a glorified limited slip and [B][COLOR="Red"]still allows slippage as its not a fully locked unit. Not sure how much of a problem that would be with smaller tires and wheelin in the sand/snow, etc, but if you were running 35s or bigger and do alot of rock crawling, i could see it not performing nearly as well as say an ARB or an OX. For the money, id pay just a little more and get a true selectable locker.. . .
I know this is an older thread but wanted to point out that the Ected IS a selectable. It is ls when off and locked when engaged, similar in concept to the Detroit Electrac.

I prefer the Eaton E-Locker design my self. When off, open diff and when engaged a full spool.
