Considering they just give those away now, I don't see why you shouldn't have gotten one yet!

Keep in mind that it's an end user tune, so what one person likes might not be ideal for another. I start out with something modest make some tweaks, and by that time the end user can grasp what's going on. The graphs in the spreadsheets are pretty helpful to get a visual representation. Just send me a pm and I'll help get you rolling.
I plan on finally getting around to trying out the transmission tuning by this weekend on my 07. I will keep you informed

I was surprised how quickly the JK gets loaded up at lower rpms putting a 100% load on the engine. That could be real helpful for someone on the fence about which gears as you can gather enough data from your daily commute or usual trip to see where the sweet spot would be. There's also a mileage minder which I ran for about 15 minutes, but found my driving habits are pretty efficient. Might be helpful for the guys getting 10-12 mpg. Then the gauge package so you can look at customized gauge clusters to keep a better eye on things.

The way I look at it, when I look at what my Flashpaq was when I first pulled it out of the box at introduction and what it is today the feature set is just so much more robust and defined. What's there today on the Vivid is definitely cool while the platform is such they will be able to do much cooler things in the future. Things that I would improve, although I haven't taken the time to give Superchips any feedback, are the inclinometer is to twitchy and the readouts need slowed down and I haven't gotten used to how different the touch screen is than my iphone. Definitely doesn't seem to have the same sensitivity and it's taken a bit of time to get used to. In my hand it does fine, on the mount I sometimes have to touch hard enough that it switches positions. Not a big deal and there might be a settings adjustment I just haven't dug for.
I have been monitoring spark advance and engine load too. I also was surprised at how quick the engine hits full load. I would say a good deal of that is attributed to my heavy 35's and less than optimal 4.10 gearing. I am anxious to see how much changing the tranny tunes will affect the load the engine sees with my current setup, and then eventually with 5.13's. And I also agree, the Archos could really use a sensitivity adjustment, as it seems unresponsive at times

That schedule is pretty aggressive and the WOT down shifts are hotter than what I'd prefer but that's why they call it a custom tune. Everyone drives and has different opinions of how their transmission responds. Myself, I prefer the smaller stabs and short taps to kick down for rolling acceleration and generally to hold gear longer so I don't get any bog. I'm happy with where the out of the box WOT shifts are, and I rarely ever have my foot all the way on the floor.

That said, this probably isn't an ideal starter schedule as it is pretty aggressive. Additionally, schedules are set for gear and tire sizes and they aren't out of the box transferable. Someone with 35s and 3.73s wouldn't find it useful at all, nor would the guy with 33s and 5.13s. A conversion for the gear ratio and tire size needs to happen first, and again I would suggest starting with a more modest schedule.

Different model years can have different throttle position percentages. Also gear and tire size plays a role.

If you want some help, let me know.

Default Thanks for the help

I probably don't need all of the diagnostic stuff, although it would be cool. I am a turn the key and go type of person now, and if something breaks and I can't figure it out in an hour. I pay some to fix it for me. On the transmission shifting and other upgrades for superchips, are these things free, or does it cost extra on top of the cost of a superchips.

Thnks

The advanced trans tune is the only paid upgrade at $40. It was a lot of work to get done with a long beta period and to my knowledge no one else has anything like it for the Chrysler PCM.

Default Superchip JK 4dr 2010

Received my Superchip Flashpac (3875) last week and installed a performance 93+ tune this evening, very impressed. Slightly daunting as your dashboard lights like a christmas tree and several beeps and flashes later it was done. I am very impressed, I corrected my gear ratio to 5.13 and ODO. really good much more responsive
