Thanks for all the input! I just put in my order and I'm going to be going with the company that I ran with in my last jeep, K&N.

Cool

Can't tell much difference because I dropped the K&N on the day I brought it home, nothing to compare it to... does make my son smile with the sound it make when I stand on it... no regrets yet.

Don't worry about the bolts. The reservoir won't move when you pull the bolts and you put them right back in when the shroud goes on (shroud keeps the filter separate from the engine, comes with the kit). The engine bolt removal isn't too difficult but I will say that this was "the hardest part", not that it was all that difficult. The thing about it is that there is a captive washer on the bolt. There is very little clearance no matter how hard you try (or at least in my situation) you can't avoid raking the washer across the inside of the serp. belt. Not really a problem, just make sure you're careful there and don't gouge it. Anyhow, it's a pretty easy install. I would also recommend disconnecting your battery when you do it. It's not necessarily "required" but this will force your computer to adjust for the added airflow much faster. It'll still take some time but not nearly as much as it would if you don't disconnect it.
By the way, if your mpg's seem to go down for some reason (like mine did), that's most likely because you can't keep the pedal off the floor, since it sounds so mean at higher rpm's. Lovin' it.

So i was intsalling the cai this morning and on the step where you have to remove an engine bolt for a support bracket i was having trouble removing the bolt itself. has anyone else had this problem, and if so what was your solution to fixing it?
