Yup, that's normal with any CAI. It does get loud when you hammer on the throttle. At times I think it's louder than my exhaust.

I heard the CAI will reduce MPG. Have you experienced that? I would like to give mine a little more boost if possible.

No sh#t. Lol I thought I did something wrong. It's like being behind a jet engine.

Yea I don't like that. I had an extra clamp in my kit for some reason. Maybe I'll throw it on. I was actually thinking of just taking it off if it doesn't hold anything.

I've done it with other k&n intakes that are the same and best bet is to power wash then just make sure it's completely dry, apply the oil and ur good to go. No worries its an easy process

I have the same K&N kit, for about 4 months, it is normal to be loud. I had one on my Harley Davidson F-150, and it sounded the same. You are going from having a closed air filter system to a wide open system.

Just had a K&N CAI installed on my 2009 JK unlimited. I have noticed a little more response when I hit the gas. Haven't heard that much more noise. After reading all the pros & cons I decided to get it. I like how fits real snug in the engine bay. I had no idea how big the actual cone was. I report again when I drive it some more.
