Keeping away the rock chips?
So since adding 13 in wide tires, I've noticed some tar slinging and rock chipping (big big rock chips). What are you guys doing to try and keep away the rock chips? I'm considering the Hanson sliders, I still have my old sahara steps but I absolutely hate them.
Since I'm moving from 4.75 bs to 3.25 in the morning I know it's only gonna get worse.
Is my only option to shoot the chips with primer and paint the jk od green or flat black? So it would touch up easy? I refuse to pay someone 300$ to fix rock chips on a paint color I dont even like.

Scratches and dings are part of owning a modified Jeep. I can't imagine its THAT bad. And if you hate the color just paint the whole thing. Silver shows the least damage to paint anyway.
I had 3m vinyl installed on everything below the windows and up about 8"s on the hood when my JK was new. It's the same film thats on the front of my motorhome. I have stone chips below the film, but none on it. I've thrown mud up on the side of the Jeep and it just hoses off with no scratches or chips. When I get ready to sell it in a couple of years, I'll use a heat gun to warm it up and peal it off leaving a finish that will look brand new. The product cost about $300 and with patience, is easy to put on.
I'll recoup more than that in appearance.
