KING SHOCKS JK Prototype Steering Stabilizer
wow good one. That really hurt. Are you even a marine? My guess is no and if you are than you most definitely are a blue falcon shit bag of a marine that merely slimed by your entire career. Also if you were a marine you would know that our "Kevlar" covers are not mandatory to wear therefore I don't have to wear one also due to my SOP's of my team we don't wear them. So how about you grow up and quit being a child. Sent from my iPhone using JK-Forum
Steering stabilizers have their place and the factory one does what it is meant to do. 50/50 compression/rebound no gas charged to keep the tires from dancing around so much on rough surfaces. They also numb the feel of the steering. Not running a steering stabilizer will allow you to feel everything on the road, it personal preference which you like. Using a gas charged one will push your steering and keep you from driving straight. A steering stabilizer that has lighter valving will make turning the steering wheel easier and one that is valved stiffer will take more to turn the wheel and put more stress on the steering box. Again personal preference. A steering stabilizer "upgrade" is more about a vendor selling product then improving steering.
The factory one does fine and bolts right up on my Synergy raised track bar bracket. Now, if I had the coin that some of you blow on your Jeep, yeah, I'd run one of the King SS too to match my King shocks. But I don't, so the factory works well and matches me Rancho 9Ks just fine (black goes with everything).

I have used the stock and a Bilstein one several times, and swapped them a few times. The Bilstein has a slight left push (which works for me, since my camber is off and pull the JK to the right). The stock is milder, and only really noticeable off road. There, the Bilstein seems to have slightly more damping. Both work well. I certainly would not spend money on this except essentially as jewelry. I would not buy it. I am sure it will be ridiculously priced. Then again, I would not buy King shocks when Bilsteins and Ranchos work really well. Others may buy it. People love that blue King bling sticking out from under their Jeeps.
You don't understand? Read the last line of the FIRST post... here, I'll help you out - "What's everyone's thoughts on a potential new product from King?" The original poster ASKED for opinions... so they are getting them. You don't like the opinions, don't read the thread.

Kings are made to order and valved how the customer wants them. Less pull just means different valving, same thing they have been offering for years. Set up is dependent and the users preference and typically tire size will change the appropriate valving. Is this just being put out so there is a "JK" specific that will be offered off the shelf?
