Default KJ Style Driving Lights

Well for starters, thank you all for the loads of valuable information you're taking the time to share here.

When I first got my 05 Liberty, one of the first things I did was knock out the grill inserts where the factory lights should be and wired in some after market driving lights. I like the ability to have them on anytime I want. The factory lights on the JK bumper are nice, but when I'm in the middle of nowhere at night and running the highbeams, I don't like that the road right in front of me is so dim. Because the h3 bulbs are cheap, I can also light them up during the times when my commute takes me over miles and miles of desert highway where daytime headlights are required and not worry about the life of the bulbs.

So I've been wanting to take off the grill on the JK to see if there's enough open space next to the turn signals to mount driving lights there. I will open mine to look for myself when I get some free time, but meanwhile if anyone here can chime in I'd like to here from you.

I did a quick photo edit to see if it would look terrible.

Thanks for your replies.

I agree it looks great! I wish A hoop on the front bumper wouldn't interfere. Maybe if it works out you should talk to Jeep about reengineering the Wrangler

Thanks for looking. I was hoping that some of you that have removed your grill would chime in. I removed mine during my lunch break to find that theres really not enough open space behind the grill to do what I was considering.

Oh well, there are lots of other options!

What about replacing your headlights with the ones on the jeep rubicon king that integrate the turn signal into the headlight. Then you could use the turn signal location for the driving lights.
