Default KM2 Problems?

I just had 285/70/17 km2's mounted on AEV pintlers yesterday. When driving from a stop, or coming to a stop, i am getting a minor shake or vibration? Other then that it drives fine I had the shop do an alignment the day i had the wheels and tires mounted and balanced. Also what PSI are you guys running with your 33" tires. Could they have put too much air in them or just screwed up balancing them? or do the km2's need to be broken in?

break them in, i have 37' km2's and right before you stop and right when you take off there is a mild vibration, once they wear in a bit it will go away, i think this happens with most mud's, at least in my experience it has, but my vibration has gone away

When you are slowing down to a stop you are feeling the large lugs on the tires. They feel very different from a regular street tire. How much air pressure do you have in them?

Lower the air pressure... the shops tend to over fill the tires.

You probably need to increase your toe-in. There is probably too much air in them, too. It's a shame you paid for an alignment

I have 33" km2's and they do vibrate when slowly accelerating and braking. It's just the thread at a certain speed. It's normal for km2s.

definatly check your air pressure. You will prob. have to do a chalk test but you will prob. be in the 20 to 25 psi range.

...put KM2 265/70R17's on pro-comp 7069's.

...max. pressure say's 80 psi.. the shop put in 40 psi.

...after reading hundreds of posts on the subject i decided to check the tires and lower the psi.

...turns out they were all between 42 and 44psi.

...lowered them all to 35 psi.

...no surprise that according to my 'arse', the ride has improved.

...i hate to lower the psi. anymore than that for asphalt but maybe i'll go down to 30psi.

...and yes the km2's rumble but you'll get used to it. i love 'em.
