From what I have heard and seen there is no "best" they both have their strengths and weaknesses. A lot of people have this question (including myself). They are both great tires they both wear like steel. People will say they love or hate either one. Both will have good things said about it and both will have bad things said about it. So basically it comes down to personal preference. Get what you like best. They are both good tires. So get what you want whether that be based on price, size, or looks either way what ever you choose you will be happy with.

Im not saying this to be a dick.. but the search thread will be great for this question there has been A LOT of posts about it.

Good luck!

I have run BFG's for years. They are a great tire...I currently have the MTR's with Kevlar. I live in Mountain land. Snow, lots of rocks and alot just plan ol dirt roads. The MTR's have been great. I have no complaints..

So would say buy either one. You'll be happy.

I have the KM2s, a friend has the MTRs. On the same rocks at the same PSI, the Kevlar MTRs slip more and he has more difficulty than I do over the same terrain. Of course, he is on a short wheel-base TJ and I have the JK Unlimited, but his old-school bald-ass MTRs would whip me every time. The new meats seem to be a lot more slick.

Just one data point.
