Km2s
After running two sets of them I'm not a fan of the KM2s at all. A couple of reasons. First is size, they run small both in terms of diameter and width, so you're not getting what you pay for. My first set were advertized as 35s & measured more like 33.5, the second set were supposed to be 37s and were really 35.5". Both were really 11.5" width, not 12.5" as marked. I replaced the latter with 37" Goodyear MTR/Kevlars and the Goodyears measure exactly 37", and are exactly 12.5" in tread width. This issue really ticks me off. BFG ask a premium price for the KM2 and you ought to get the size tire you pay for. Ironically, I have a brand new set of 37" Krawlers I won in a drawing and they measure exactly 37x12.5". So, this isn't a brand specific failing, IMHO it's simply false advertizing on the part of BFG.
Second, and more important is performance. BFG KM2s just don't really do anything very well, and they wear faster than any BFG truck tire I've ever run. They don't hook up well in the rocks and are particulalry treacherous to the point of being deadly on anything slick, particularly ice. The sidewalls are so soft I had to run 35 psi in them to get even tire wear, whereas with the MTR/Ks I can run 28 psi on highway, yet air down to 8 with beadlock on the rocks.
If you really want to go BFG I'd much prefer the All-Terrain over the KM2. It's a bretter tire in all respects save mudding. Many of us saw the Krawler-like tread pattern on the KM2 and thought these were going to be really good, but IMHO they're a step backwards from even the old Mud-Terrains. I've been a big BFG fan over the years and have been very surprised & disappointed in these tires. There are far better tires out there than the KM2.

If you're goin 40s I'd skip the KM2s. There are far better tires out there. I ran two sets of them on my JK, 35s & 37s and thought they were the worst BFGs I'd ever run. They run small in diameter and width vs their advertized size and don't really do anything well. I'd look at MTR/Ks or Nittos, you'll get an actual 40" tire and you'll get better performance with either. I'm not a BFG hater, I've run them on every trail rig I've owned for years and this is the first time I've been turned off by one of their products. Seems they made a phony Krawler and took a step backwards from the old Mud Terrain.
