Default kumho tires

Has anyone used these tires? They seem to get pretty positive write ups and are rather inexpensive. I'm thinking about running 35's on mine w/ a 4" lift.

Kumho makes a great quality tire. They have a great pricepoint and get great write-ups from those that run them. What kind of conditions you going to be running, and are you going KL78 AT or KL71 MT?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Since you made the statement, I want to know exactly what you aren't getting with the Kumho tire, that you get with other tires? And I know the tread patterns are going to be different because that's a trademark/copyright thing.

i was considering these tires also, but one thing to consider is that they are a directional pattern which kind of bothers me. i like to rotate my tires often so they last and I had issues with that...
If you aren't concerned about that, though, they seem like a good tire, and everyone I know whose had Kumhos (mostly on cars) have been satisfied...

yeah, yeah, he said KUMHO.... yeah, yeah.... haha

My ONLY concern would be directional tread also. Otherwise they make a decent product for sure that most folks seem really happy with.

Couldn't resist... you just know that Bevis would have them just so he could say he had Kumho's and Butthead could wack him in the head.

thanks for the tips guys. I'll prob pick 'em up. They'll mostly be for daily driving, and for a few offroad trips as soon as it warms up.

My wife has some on her liberty and they seem to wear down really fast. Her dad put them on before we got married, I wont replace with more of that crap. Will stick to BFgoodrich or Goodyear.

I looked at the mt's when I was looking around. The sirectional was one thing, but that didn't really matter to me because I already had a non matching 35 for a spare (not to be rotated in). I did find some reviews that claimed the sidewalls were pretty thin- not good for the rocks and stuff. So I went with the nittos, which are waaaaaayyyy louder than I expected (which was still quite loud). Anyway, due a search, but they're prolly great for light offroading
