Default Leveling kit question

From what someone told me. When you lift your jeep it will start to bring your tires closer to the body. Would this happen with and 1.5" leveling kit. Or was I given bad info.

...The only time your tires will come closer to the body is when you start running larger diameter tires on an unlifted jeep, hence the need / reason to lift your Jeep to provide the clearance. For example, if you run 35" tires on an unlifted jeep your tires will be closer to the body. But when you install a lift kit, the taller springs or coil spacers will give the opposite effect.....another example would be if you lift your jeep and run stock tires your tires will be further away from the body........

When most lift a Jeep they do so for larger tires. If you increase the middle number of the tire size (33x12.50x17) they will be wider, and closer to the frame. I don't know of any other reason you would see this just because you lifted your vehicle.

I got this from another thread. Notice the distance / space between the 35" tires and the fenders....
