I'll agree too. I had no Idea what was under my JK till I started researching, and wrenching on it myself. You can do it!

With stock 17" wheels / tires, if I go with the Teraflex 2.5" BB that has the rear sway bar links or the AEV 2" BB, do I have to use wheel spacers? Is anyone running the Teraflex 2.5" BB with stock wheels and tires and NOT using spacers? Same for the AEV 2" BB?

From what I've been told the new AEV 2.5 coil lift can accept stock wheels without spacers if u stay under the 285/..... size! Anything bigger than spacers or wheels with a different bs you will need! All I know. So anyone with rubi takeoffs should be fine. According to AEV s website

We offer a 2.5" System that we call our Stock Mod system! Here is a link to it!

It is a great starting point.

-2.5" Progressive Rate Front Coils
-Adjustable Front Track Bar so your axle is square in the vehicle and does not "Dog Track" like a Sprint Cup Race Car down the straight away!
-Front Sway Bar Disco's
-Rear Coils
-Rear Track Bar Relocation Bracket

Combine that with some Bilstein 5100's and you are good to go!

It is also very easily upgraded to any of our other systems as your needs progress.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Good Luck with your Builds

For your budget I'd have to agree and recommend the RK 2.5 stock mod or the OME set up. Id lean to the RK set up for u simply because i do think their Customer Service and availability to help with any questions/concerns is incredible.

Quality stuff here forget Rough Country and Zone.

Both will fit your needs and give you a better than stock ride.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I took the advice of several and did a leveling kit and shock / coil swap all by myself. Learned a lot!

I ran the Teraflex BB w TF9550 shocks for over a year. It was a great intry level lift that kept the factory ride and allowed plenty of room for 33x12.5 tires. After adding a new bumper and wench, the front factory coils sagged. I upgraded to the Rock Krawler 2.5 Stock Mod lift with the addition of RK adjustable front lower control arms to dial in the castor. The front RK springs are progressive rate and allow for heavier bumpers and winches without the worry of sag. The Stock Mod lift comes with a front adjustable trackbar that allows you to center your axle. Very nice complete lift. Highly reccomend the LCA's. No flighty steering. Drives better than stock. The Bilstein 5100 shocks pair up nicely.

I really like my Teraflex 2.5 BB. With the 1" BL, I should be able to run 35x12.50.17 on 17x8 with minimal rub when flexed. The factory ride remains intact, which I think is really good if you're using for commuting as well.
